In Vietnam, people are absoulte madmen, but the average speed is way lower than in Europe, so you don't see that many accidents. Pic relevant: overall braking duration at 30 km/h is lower than reaction time at 50 km/h. Which means, when you start braking at 50 km/h, your speed would be already 0 with an initial 30km/h speed.
