I am 37 and I am a bartender. Heard a server and talking about some new wine, they started in 1944. In front of her (27) and 2 19 year olds, I asked just for shits

NONE of them even had a guess. Not even a thought of WW2. Not of holocausts. Nothing. They just don't know anything.
I later asked 3-4 more, none knew. I asked 2 zoomers sitting with their parents at the bar. They said "A war?". Didn't know which one. Didn't know of any holocaust.
I went to a bar later after work and asked her if she knew what the major world conflict in 1944 was.

I was and am still shocked to my core. I get I might be partially autistic but damn, I thought that was as common of knowledge as it gets. But its really not to anyone under 30. But this goes beyond not knowing of WW2, they don't even know anything about the "holocaust" and literally anything I tell them becomes their new known history.
