Naah, mate. They are all in for Ukraine. All bases near Finnish border have been emptied of any available men and whoever is left there is essentially bare-minimum skeleton crew.
Sure, they are trying to build new bases along the border but that won't matter jack shit if they can't crew them. They probably think that it's going to take a few years to sort out Ukraine anyways even in a good scenario, so those bases are only for post-war recruits.
The fact is that everyone that they can get is sent to Ukrainian front, vehicles included. Putin can't stop the war without losing face unless he gets SOME kind of win, no matter how small or ridiculous. So now it's sunk cost fallacy game. Send in the next wave.
Their internal security forces have their own armored vehicles, and those will not be sent to Ukraine. They have to stay visible on Russian streets to remind everyone who's in charge.
