I haven't even finished reading this screenshot and I can already say THIS is exactly what happened to Ghost Game; too much narrative debt. It just set up too many plot points and epic expectations that it couldn't satisfyingly solve by the end, one is just left wondering

Being episodic doesn't excuse it, if anything it makes it worse, they should have known their lane and stayed there but the series constantly built up anticipation to something big like the best shonen do while having no intention to follow up on it in a meaningful way.
Like Hiro's dad disappearing, findigh him should have been something massive with tons of lore backstory and him becoming a very important character but it's treated like a nonchalant thing
