I don't think Trump is courageous enough to risk humiliation.

His style is more like "the guy behind the curtain"
Trump would tell Saudis to bait Iranian general into peace negotiations,
Then he would have someone assassinate the Iranian general while on route to the airport.

Right now it would be too humiliating to defend Israel and risk defeat (pulling out of west Asia)
