I am by no means a military nerd. Just my friends/boyfriends play these games so they got me into it. In fact most every steam game I played after 2015 is cuz some guy got me into it

But anyway as far as I am aware infantry is hardly a decisive force in battle. Their weapons are hardly important. Their role is as support. I'd rather have infantry with manual rifles but superior artillery and air support than infantry with automatic weapons and equivilent artillery/air
