Companies know that we don't have a lot of options and that's why they bait...because they know it'll work every time even if the husbando crowd does slowly leave after a while it'll get them enough attention that the game gets free advertising.
It's scummy and annoying but until another company that isn't Infold decides to actually try and make something for a female audience, then we're stuck with "mixed" games that have awful gender ratios that'll be majority waifupandering.
It's grim. Our options are limited and every new game has been trying to be the next Genshin killer without understanding that Genshin didn't make it big without building a female playerbase for years.
