I like how the devs say (you) are literally sensei and sensei looks like (you) and its actually a self insert that isnt too overbearing and attention hoggy but still present.
I dont like when "harem self insert games" (cygames, nikke) have "self inserts" that are not me and have a literal design but everyone has to pretend they arent cuck games for some reason while their generals will call something like genshin a cuck game despite it being the same thing. The MC ain't (You). Stella Sora? Yeah that's going to have a (You) that is designed. No thanks brah.
Frankly I like games that dont try to sell you self insert pandering and are just stories with fun characters, even male ones. I like brown dust 2 and like shipping some of the characters here and there primarily cause they game doesnt force a non self insert self insert in the story like a cygames game (gluppy diner is kind of cringe but the l2ds are nice).
Either do a self insert all the way properly or dont do one at all and Ill probably enjoy it. I hate the half measure self inserts (which is a lot of games)
