>Another thing about events is that people often overlook how much NijiJP has been pumping them out.
Nah, I disagree, if much they're "catching up" given the size of their cast and considering they managed to LOSE money in last year's NijiFes I don't really know if they got all their ducks lined up yet.
Wanna know the funniest part of it all? I can't possibly prove it but everything lines up and one day one of the Luxiem retards might shed light on it and prove me right.
Back in mid 2022 Luxiem was the crown jewel of Nijisanji to a point they put in their investors report
>NijiEN provides a bigger revenue per liver than NijiJP
coupled with a "line goes up" type of chart for their revenue.
Then in August Vox called Sonny mom a whore, broke the glass hearts of the Chinese adolescent girls, took a full month hiatus and precipitated their recline but, back then, it was not evident yet.
Now, fast forward to late 2022, early 2023 and Nijisanji makes that big fanfare about announcing something big and they did so in a stream in their main channel, big one too, IIRC a NJU recap with their all star cast.
Then in the end of it they announce
>NijiEN 3D live concert
>ALL LIVERS from LOE to LuxNoc, in 3D
>LIVE
>IN PERSON
People in this thread were taken aback by the audacity of the announcement, specially because it coincided with IIRC Myth (and ID1) getting their 3D and showing up in the HoloFes.
10 days down the line and Nijisanji cancelled it unceremoniously blaming it on COVID with two of the Luxiem blokes (Vox and someone else) calling it "COVID" (between ironic quotes).
Now, pretty much on the same week Nijisanji announced
>Hoshikawa first sololive
>Kanae first sololive
>Toya first sololive (IIRC)
>NORNIS first sololive
>a resumption of the 3D debuts for the main branch (stopped because of COVID), pretty much one per week
NOW, here is my theory
1) The 3D live was NOT to be for ALL of the NijiEN livers but ONLY for Luxiem. That's what makes sense, it would make total sense to skip the line in the EN market and have the 3D debut for their biggest draw in God knows how many years.
But my rrat is that NijiEN then had an internal mutiny and forced management to either do it for all of them or not to do it at all.
2) The JP livers were NOT satisfied with it and might have told Riku to cut it off and focus on their main branch.
That's what makes sense considering the 10 days between announcement and cancellation.
You are right that Nijis are doing more events now but, as I said, they're at most catching up to their potential. The size one their cast would warrant to have one of those per week or two, no troubles.
