I get so confused when /v/ talks about AC like this, how do you live without an AC constantly running the climate in your house? Every place I’ve lived has had a little nook where the big inside unit + thermostat are installed and there’s a box outside that goes VRRRR. My electric bill’s around $100 a month and that’s without any conservational effort, I just let it keep my house at 72-74 degrees (Fahrenheit).
Yes I live in Florida and it’s just expected here but I find living in a house without one utterly backwards. Isn’t the stillness of the air palpable to people without a permanent AC solution of some kind? It’s not just “different” not having one it sounds fucking third world.
