I'm not some nepobaby from LA. I'm from the GHETTO. I hear gunshots outside my window every week. There's a drug deal outside my house every night. There is no art school for me to go to near me. There is no technical school I can just enroll to. I don't have the money or connections to get accepted and I failed at getting any grants because I'm too old now.
My only path forward is to hire contractors from overseas.
MFs were out here like "hire local" and every time I did, the fucking snubbed me lmao. No one local wanted to work even if I paid them. You show it to an American and they're like "DAFUQ IS DIS GOONER AH GAME, NIGGA?!?!??!?" just ridiculous. The American gatekept cultural sphere of art is exactly why I had to look elsewhere. Ideally, my project would look like a Frank Frezetta painting or a Jim Lee comic, but that style is barely taught in USA anymore. So I had to take the Asian pill out of necessity, whether I liked it or not. (I liked it.)
Otherwise, I have to deal with some retarded cuntflap Asian-American bitch from San Francisco wagging her finger at me and charging 50 dollars per frame. That's bullshit. And you know the worst part? These cuntflaps can get away with it! It's such a rare skill in USA and a fucking circlejerk, no one can question them. You can be an awful human being and still get work because they have few choices. This is why they hate Filipino artists so much, by the way. Anything that takes autonomy and relevance away from them is "shady." This is why they love DEI and complain about "the same 5 white guys making games" until you hire some SEA guy, then diversity is suddenly exploitation.
