Seems like the Viera are breeding like rabbits in the Border Zone. No wonder Kenshi is mostly grassless. There are mods that add a "counter-weight" to the peaceful Viera patrols, which results in fights between them and the modded bandits that for some reason have mid to late game stats. Why must the modders add such bandits to the "noob zone" is a mystery. Still - the "goat raiders" are a fun bunch to fight, do recommend.
