It's not the same to beat a kid because they have a drunk asshole as a parent than doing it as a corrective for being a fucking annoying brat that crossed the line.
Literally Parenthood 101: if sending your kid to their bedroom or taking away their phone doesn't work, then it's time to whoop that ass. Just don't go feral on them.
