Canto 7 and Don's character would've been better if she didn't have amnesia, instead playing "pretend" to forget the hurt, constantly distracting herself to not think of how her father was killed and betrayed by her own family. Which I think would be a better explanation for how she tards out sometimes and acts irrationaly, constant stimulation to drive the dark thoughts away.
Of course, only to find out that her family survived in the warp train intervallo, wishing to kill the bloodfiends to "avenge" her father and in pursuit of justice, only for the breakdown to occur once she finds out not only Pap Quixote is alive but has abandoned his dream
