The Hadzabe tribe of Tanzania is somewhat in that position
They are fully nomadic hunter gatherers that are protected, but are open to the outside world too. There are guided tours you can take with them where you can immerse yourself with them as they hunt and live daily life. Those tours are extremely expensive though, like thousands of dollars per package. But a cut of that money goes to the tribe. There are currently 1,000+ members of that tribe who live in small units of 20-30 individuals. They are tough motherfuckers who spend literally everyday collecting honey from bee swarms and killing small and large game with hordes of hunting dogs that they’ve domesticated.
