There’s another explanation, that Hitogami is weakened after being sealed by Orsted’s dad.
But even in that state from what we saw in the dream sequence, Orsted alone wasn’t enough there was a whole raid party gathered in that dimension including the Akihito.
I do think it makes sense, we see it clearly in the main series and you guys mentioned it as well that Orsted managed to beat even Alek with Kajakt and fighting god armor, only Hitogami can really kill him and only Orsted can kill Hitogami.
