Like half the characters in SF2 (including Ryu) are rip-offs of existing manga characters. And funny how you mention the SF2 cover art because the Japanese one is completely different from the overseas one and has a, you guessed it, anime art style, which you probably know yet decide to ignore because God forbid the video game where characters shoot fireballs from their hands while calling out their attacks' names is anime inspired.
