2. since there's no open gayness, it's easier to market, ESPECIALLY in China
3. if you enjoy making money, it's objectively the best choice to just not introduce official couples. Especially if these aren't straight couples. We're not getting any "Isolde is marrying Kakania" anytime soon
You're paying up at the current state of the game so the tactic is working. They have no reason to amp it up. Pandering to people enjoying lesbians means cutting off the people who don't enjoy them. This isn't an open yuri game, male characters keep getting released and the fandom has straight shippers too
