I don't think people understand how insane these places are. They have their own police (Shomrim) and will obstruct the real police from doing work.
Recently some Jew from a similar place (Lakewood, NJ) was accused of raping a 15-year old and taken into a police station. So then hundreds of Jews came and started protesting. When he got released they started singing and doing celebratory dancing.
