You can take solace that someday someone will realise that this moment was a pivotal failure in the software industry because the old heads maintaining and improving the AI will eventually disappear and nobody will replace them because everybody else used AI for their coding needs.

Your skills are desired and appreciated and will someday be absolutely essential, but not quite now since CEO's believe they can make short term profits without and have no plan for after that.

It's despairing and life shouldn't be like that because it doesn't benefit society.
