Drones for Engineer have been suggested a lot but I think their major weakness should be that they can't operate very independently of their operator, like real drones. Just by flying they would quickly drain battery and their ammunition would be much more limited than a sentry's ammo. This would all but necessitate the Rescue Ranger for constant resupply.
