We own a first gen one from 2007. 6 speed manual with 4WD. Metallic Silver. I did an oil change on it the other day, we're first owners.

Depends on your situational awareness and if the previous owner thrashed the shit out of it and/or maintained it. Also some things were changed depending on the generation too. Later ones got a heavier diff for instance because retards kept shattering the first gen one from 2007. Eventually they got backup cameras and other addons too. First gen you have to drive it often to have a sense of where the corners of the body are. Also the use of 4WD and A-TRAC (antislip that would grab free-spinning wheels using brake application) was mutually exclusive. In the first gen from 2007 people would wire theirs up so that the 4WD and A-TRAC would work at the same time. Later versions did this without modification.

Last month I caught some cunt in my peripheral vision between the pillar and the mirror who blind merged into me after jumping a line. The instant I saw it I snapped the wheel to the left and managed to keep from hitting her. All I saw was like 2-3 inches of grey from the roof of her car and I'm lucky the lane next to me was free in that instant.
...and yet I've actually missed the front of a fire truck one time on the driver's side. I leaned to the right in my seat just slightly and there it was.

Isn't it a Land Cruiser Prado frame with a different body? They came off the same line at the Hino plant, probably the same building that my 93' T100 came out of.
