X is interesting to start off with because there is something about the planet. And while Xenoblade 2 was made to tie into 1, 3 was made not just to continue the stories of 1 and 2 but also specifically to give us a glimpse of what that something about that planet in X was. It's absolutely brilliant long term storytelling.
