The universe echoes itself continuously. Before creation, or “the Big Bang”, all things were unified into a singular whole and existed as absolute order. After this events, the universe began expanding and thus, moves from 1 into many. Physical and spiritual matter are separate but interact continuously, as both contains pieces of this original “unity”. Everything in the universe is observably cyclical, so it’s likely that matter is trying to reassemble itself back into a whole and then will explode outwards into a second consolidation and then creation again. Some people want to go to “Heaven” and rejoin the lawful, blissful unity, some want to separate from the unity and not rejoin the universe, preserving their ego and identity.
When a physical vessel for matter is destroyed the spiritual matter it’d “married” to goes back out into the astral side of reality and looks for a new vessel (reincarnation), which will continue until all things are reordered, organized, lawful, and harmonious. This is the purpose of religions, to guide the exoteric masses into heaven and pull them out of the reincarnation pool and back into the “we’re ready for God consciousness/unity” pool. Jesus aims to absolve you of guilt which would drag you back, Islam gives a structured life so you don’t believe you deserve hell and avoid it, Buddhism teaches to guide people into a Buddha state (eventually) and ascending to heaven through a perfect karmic state. Esoteric orders either have the goal of unity, or as said earlier, in preserving the ego and becoming “above” or “outside” of the cycle. As one anon suggested earlier, Jews in particular have an agreement with a god, YHWH, that they can rule this planet if they make him supreme over all other god-level spirits.
