NTA, but old games will have more shit. That's normal. HSR is generally not very deep though.
It was a big mistake they didn't immediately make damage reduction available. Now enemies are not allowed to kill you regardless of that.
Imagine playing SMT without any defensive buffs and debuffs existing. It'd be easy mode. Nobody would care about abilities like pic related in this game, because the enemy doesn't do much to you anyways. But imagine the enemy would deal several times your max HP in damage if you didn't have anything to protect yourself..?
