The anti-spirals were right. Humanity doesn't have the wisdom to avoid the Spiral Nemesis.
Half the spirals will claim the Spiral Nemesis is fake while the other half is kept pacified by performative measures.
By the time everyone realizes the Spiral Nemesis is legit they'll say it's too late to do anything. And besides, Mars isn't gonna do anything about it so we can't either.
