they are the shades of the primordial one (an alien being that shaped teyvat after fighting a war with the native dragon species that originally ruled the planet), the shade of space (asmonday) is the chick from the opening cutscene of the game that the player character and their sibling are fighting. this is the first time we have seen the other shades in their actual character form. throughout the game they get mentioned in a bunch of hidden and optional side content, and only just recently did they get brought to the main-stage of the story.
