In the early years, games were restricted by processing power and space, which in turn motivates the artistic spirit, with improving pp and space, those ideas that couldn't be implemented earlier sparked more ideas. Nowadays, there a no more restrictions, pp (buy better hardware, or dumb the game down for consoles), space (just buy more drives, or delete everything to run newCoD, which only requires 750gb).
