Holy shit I just got a blast from the past watching that. Remember when Wawa used to go to the store and buy those meal for one meals and tiny prepacked pizzas? It reminded me of this stupid greentext I wrote so many years ago.
>Be a clerk at a small grocery store.
>Woman walks in, a regular of yours.
>She grabs a basket at the door and briskly walks by.
>Seems like she doesn't like to talk much, but there's one thing she'll always talk about.
>Watch her disappear into the isles.
>She comes back up 10ish minutes later, basket half full.
>Starting to set things up on the counter, you watch as the belt rolls them towards you.
>Single serve frozen lasagna.
>Single serve frozen pasta dish.
>Package of noodles.
>Small can of sauce.
>5 tins of catfood.
>A pint of Ben & Jerry's.
>You give her a small smile and ask her how her cats are.
>Her demeanor instantly changes from distant and somewhat cold to friendly and inviting.
>"Oh I was so scared the other day! Chonkers had to go to the vet because of some issues"
>Starts talking a mile a minute while you sit and politely nod, listening while taking her money for the total.
>Finish bagging her obvious 'Cooking for One' meals and cat food.
>She gives you a warm smile.
>"Danke! Auf Wiedersehen!" she says with a small wave out of the store.
>It's a shame to see someone like her buying what she did.
