I get that, just never seemed like it was getting worse, at least in the sense that he was doing worse than usual. Dante was always kind of a slob even before losing Vergil for the first time. Plus there is the fact that a lot of his expenses went towards fixing shit he busted or was damaged by demons. Dante may feel out of place, but he's pretty good about making sure others are taken care of.
