I think on a system level it's very good. M+ changes, general class design and balance barring some real fucking stinkers, and the overall way you get to engage with the game has been very nice. I find the theming (and story) to be a very big issue and I think it all comes down to their belief that having a larger overall focused narrative is better than the previous thing of "the expansion is like a toy chest and we just kind of pull random shit out of it post campaign"while at the same time literally doing all that. I found the Undermine scenario very fun and amusing but at the same time I kept going "you were setting up completely unrelated shit to this why are we doing this". Also while I find patch cadence to be very good the actual content has been subpar. I found Siren Isle very middling but I have to say that the person who made that dastardly duos shit and had the gall to be in a video highlighting him making it should be ashamed. Out of all the content that has existed in WoW it's the first where I've gone "this feels like you made this in Roblox".

Today I have acquired the Void-Crystal Panther.
