Why would it sell when it hit over 5m for every volume? It literally sold more than any manga volume in existence. And kept going on TOP 10 oricon weekly for more than a year after ending, while MHA is nowhere to be seen in oricon weekly a month after the final volume released.

The other is a party game that nobody but toddlers and board moms pre-ordered. It has an upcoming Hinokami game, but the roster itself is fucking small that you can't even call it a proper sequel, fighting games live and die by a large roster and DS has a very small cast that it's unsuited for fighters
Hinokami sold 3.5 million by 2024. in 3 years it did that. MHA Games? Two games one from 2018 and one from 2020. shipped (not sold) a combined 2.5 million by end of 2022. Also the second mha games dropped off harder, the third will flop harder
