The entirety of 3's plot is "sora asks if he can try to use the mcguffin plot power to solve problems, gets laughed at and mocked by all his allies, goes and fucks about doing nothing for a few hours" six times over before he starts opening portals and whooping ass until the Dahaka clotheslines him and yeets him to Shibuya. Having it be that someone's heartless and nobody dying turns them back into a human is stupid but it's at least not structural cancer.
