“Why not?” You relent, utterly defeated by her barrage; you do not have the energy to resist her further demands. “Let’s practise with the swords.”
“Not the Force?” Her freckled face falls, and she looks utterly disheartened. It then instantly switches to a mischievous grin. “Just kidding, yeah, let’s do it.”
Yira skips ahead, then turns around to make sure you are actually following rather than having her run off. See that you aren’t tricking the girl, she shoots you a wider smile but stops, waiting for you to catch up. Together, you walk into the massive ziggurat to the training halls; unlike how most of your bladework lessons are done outside, the hall has a variety of pods that simulate a wide variety of environments found throughout the galaxy. It is also occasionally used as a way to punish students, where they are thrown into one of these rooms with a radically adverse temperature and released only when the punishment is deemed sufficient.
Yira continues, “I like your cloak, it’s very ominous. The patchwork leather really makes it, if it was a single sheet, it’d be less intimidating. How did you know how to create a cloak? It’s an odd skill to have these day.”
“Urr’tal helped me; it was my first time attempting something like this; growing up on a space station means I had no idea how to begin.”
“Urr’tal is a big one, I wouldn’t want to start a fight with him, barehanded I think he could rip a person apart. He doesn’t talk much either.” Replies the human girl as she looks into the pods, seeing most are empty.
“Nor do I.”
“It just means you’re a good listener, then,” She gives you a playful push. “Don’t worry, I will talk enough for us both.”
“Indeed.”
“So, which pod do you want to use? It’s scorching out there, so why don’t we do something cooler?”
With a shrug, you declare, “I do not mind.”
“Either artic or beach, the water of the beach would be nice, but then our robes would get wet. I don’t want to walk around with soaked clothing; let’s do the artic. I’m turning the temperature up, so it won’t be utterly freezing.” You aren’t the greatest in the cold, but you allow her to decide for the pair of you.
