/tv/ fag here. The answer for me is no, despite taking the deepest of dives into the most obscure cinema can offer. It's been a subject of fascination for cinephiles forever. Usually when discussing lost media. There are films with extremely strange production histories and tragedies, but the films themselves don't feel haunted. I've tried my best, but I can't think of anything, in part because the internet exists. Growing up pre-internet there would be a lot of films that had a mysterious aura, because you would half catch them on television and know nothing about them. But with the internet you are able to find most inormation. Pic related however is something I am curious about. It's thought to be completely lost. People who caught a screening back in '92 at Sundance said it was an extremely unique experience - while the plot was nothing to write home about, the atmosphere was said to be very similar to Donnie Darko, and had a hypnotic effect on the audience. People have contacted the director and he has said he has no knowledge of any existing copies.
