But in reality I don't really know where that meme comes from, same as "Finns are mongols", there is simply no truth to it.
Yeah its not good that our rate is #32 in the world, definitely on the higher side, but that doesn't make us lead anything.
We are below USA, Russia, Eastern Europe, Japan, France and on the same level as Austria.

So I don't know where that misunderstanding comes from.
Only think I can think of is that we lead the Nordic countries, so maybe some local news about we leading the Nordics in suicide somehow filtered into global news as if we lead the world? Idk, its just strange. Lot of people think that. Kinda like lot of people think that Holocaust was real.
