but can’t they at least do it well? Why is the black paladin talking like a black city girl in google ad? And the characters that do have some flavor still feel super generic and cliche. couldn’t they have done a second pass to make things feel more authentic?

And seriously, can’t these writers take the story seriously? All the characters feel like a bunch of people playing DnD, not like real people who’ve witnessed chaos, slaughter, and an actual deity of plague. Shouldn’t they be terrified or something?
