I'm pretty sure she was never dissociating, and just decided to join the fray of her own free will. She's apparently been pampered pretty much all her life, from a cozy nomad childhood with her bro, to getting adopted by nobility, to becoming a revered priestess of a fuck-off knight house.
The only personal conflict in her quest is finding out Wylder is her long-lost bro, and her wanting to throw the fucking round over it.
