One thing I'll give him credit for is that while he only has a handful of features he likes to use he's really good at mixing and matching them with an ensemble. Usually within a group no two characters will have the same eye shape or overall vibe. Probably why we don't see much of Goku and adult Gohan together. They have too much crossover.
