If the biggest criticism of liberals is that they care too much, even to their own detriment, the inverse is true for conservatives. What you see as "concern" is group-think to take some imagined moral high-ground. Usually this comes from some pseudo-rationalizing bullshit or poorly interpreted religious proclamation. What they're actually doing is calling themselves "good," while actually being pieces of shit trying to fit into the only "tribe" that will accept morally bankrupt behavior.
