GFL has 407 dolls, of which only 32 have been implemented into the sequel so far. Mica could last another 5 years off the remaining 5* alone (not counting mods) when releasing ~26 dolls a year, not to mention all the lower rarity dolls and any new OCs they come up with. So long as they space out the remaining heavy hitters they could easily last a while.
Bigger issue is player retention, since the story and gameplay sucks so people with all the dorks they like don't have anything to do with them, but the dorm update should help fix that.

I feel like they should make effects that purge buffs also have a "strip shields" effect, where it will remove 10% of the current shields on the target for each instance of a buff purge. It would increase the use cases for the few dolls that can do it, and would mean when they inevitably make some broken Shield Generator like in the first game there's already a way to counter it.
