I think the problem is that the game allows transport pod raid on asteroid but since they came via pods they don't have a way out so they're indefinitely stuck on an asteroid and starve.

The starvation progress is slow though because they'll eat their own corpses for food. I'm lowkey enjoying this unexpected hunger game show.

Some of the raiders has mixed of vac + power armor and that only gives like 97% vacuum protection. But because they're stuck on an asteroid indefinitely they'll eventually hit 100% suffocation and die (and became food for others)
