I visited the US during his last term and didn't get asked anything more than why I was visiting and they just waved me through, so I'm guessing he's a bit more zealous this time around and this is just going to be happening under his term and will go by the next admins term (considering its causing people to avoid the US and has brought privacy discussion to the forefront).
