“We'll pull you out, and ol' Daiko here'll administer aid immediately.” Nappa says, as Daiko pulls out several of those accelerated healing capsules. You nod once more, turning to the generator. Stepping up to the energy shield, the only visible entrance and take another breath before stepping forward. You feel the shield wrapping around your body, like stepping into water as you enter the chamber. However, as you do, the moment you step fully through, everything goes white. The last thing you see is a massive bolt of energy arcing from the reactor's filament directly into you, engulfing your body.
Everything then goes dark, all of your senses and awareness vanishing. Until suddenly there's a sharp, piercing pain in your chest as suddenly you feel your eyes snap open. Finding yourself in an unfamiliar place, looking around see King Vegeta, Nappa, and Daiko along with several people you don't recognize. But you do recognize the smells of a hospital immediately, wondering how you got here? But before you can say anything, suddenly a familiar voice calls out.
“Bardock, you've got to get up.” a voice you recognize calls to you, drawing you up out of unconsciousness. “Get up, Dad. Raditz needs you.”
“Rrrr...ditz....” you mutter upon hearing your deceased son's name, then your eyes snap open in realization. Your consciousness returning instantly, you seeing Kakarot looking down at you. “Kakarot?”
“Raditz is back! He's here!” he tells you excitedly. “Chaya brought him back, he's on Karn's ship! We have to go! Now.”
“Right.” you reply, sitting up. Only for Daiko to rush over, clearly trying to get you to lay back a moment. But upon seeing the look in your eyes, he immediately backs off. Changing his tactics and approach.
“Be careful, you nearly died, Bardock. Don't push yourself too hard.” Daiko says as you swing your legs off the table, getting your feet under you and standing up. The world sways a moment before you find your balance, then turn to your second son and nod to him.
“Take me to him.” you say, sharing a nod with your son. This feels too good to be true, but you have to see for yourself. Can your son really be alive, is that possible?
