Someone mentioned in the thread they're basically the rock equivalent of the rich noble maiden paying her way to the top, and the fags have a ghostwriter making their slop songs for them, so they do make sense in the story
They are turbo jobbers even if they do represent something lilisa doesn't like and needs to get over, but it's not like the author was ever shy about his Shonen influences, the fanservice is another big one. It's at least fresh for the band anime scene recently with spam forced drama, so they're alright for me
