since the dawn of time, slav stalker mods have mostly been repacks with the original included, and there was a huge market for mods on pirated disks sold everywhere in russia. good luck trying to control that. i don't think gsc cared much, especially after they disbanded initially, and only recently did they update the modding eula or whatever to include links to the original. i remember something about them allowing the assets to be freely used too, don't know how legit that one is. gsc started out selling warcraft mods as full games, so griga probably didn't give a fuck.
