Shelly and Archie are one of the very rare situations where a race/gender/skin change was an improvement. We lost a red head, and it was gay it happened, but their overhaul in ORAS was great. In their original appearance, they looked like a couple went to Party City and threw together a pirate costume for a Halloween party.
