anon you have to finish them with the dagger
anon that's the whole gimmick they will not die until you finish them with the dagger
the reason you can finish them so quickly is because they will come back unless you use the dagger

That's a crutch but I barely used it in my playthrough(s). Simply switching targets, parrying and using the dagger to stun is good enough. Which is nice because again, the animations flow so seamlessly you can stun a guy, attack a bunch of others and then finish the guy you've stunned in a very seamless flip with the sword

I will agree that WW upgraded it greatly though, pic rel is a great system to play around with
