President Trump has already signed a treaty with the Galactic Federation of Worlds.
The group is mainly a construct by the planet Era-- They lost their home planet when they were attacked, and there was no "mutual self defense organization" to call on for help; so they started one.
The GFW is powerful enough today, that no one sane will attack any member world.
Earth is in the Probationary Period, before Earth is accepted for full membership.
Up until now, Earth has been protected by the GFW because Earth is a primitive planet; but the American federal government and federal military have advanced technology, and have ventured beyond our solar system, out into the Galaxy, and have contacted alien races, so the protected status of being a primitive planet is no longer in force.
It is time to become a full member of the GFW, or go it alone, without protection.
