I’m not the one being dramatic; this reality (or this “video game”, as you refer to it) is extremely dramatic and I’m just noticing it. Also, Im not seriously entertaining the gnostic myth, just thinking out loud. The only way in which such sadistic torturing of children could be somehow justified is if maybe solipsism is true and everything in existence is just different iterations of the same one entity, so that the child being tortured is the same entity as the one doing the torturing. Neither of them exist really bc they’re just in the imagination of The One and Only. There’s also some branches of eastern philosophy which seem to explain it somewhat as well. Idk how to really make sense of it all. again just thinking out loud here.
